Where COAL is found
In the United States, coal is mined in 25 states, with Wyoming as the largest state for extraction. The three regions where coal is from include the Appalachian Coal Region, the Interior Coal Region, and the Western Coal Region.

This is mainly from Columbia in South America. However, The U.S. exports more coal to other countries than exporting for their own use. There are estimated 861 coal reserves found worldwide. Currently, China is the leading producer of coal, accounting for 47% of coal production worldwide. China is also the nation who uses the largest amount of coal electricity. |
